Migration has been a fundamental aspect of human history, shaping societies and cultures across the globe. Migrants, individuals who move from one place to another, often across national borders, do so for a variety of reasons, including economic opportunities, political asylum, family reunification, and more. Historically, the Pashtuns, a large and predominantly tribal ethnic group, have lived in the mountainous regions of what is now eastern and southern Afghanistan and northwestern Pakistan. Their society was traditionally organized around tribal structures, and many Pashtun tribes engaged in seasonal migrations, moving between highland and lowland areas with their livestock.
